Our first part of a three part trip to Texas in November to visit family, friends, and do a little work began in Katy, TX at my mom’s house. We tried to make it as fair as possible and spend 3 nights at each parent’s house (my moms, my dad’s, Brian’s dad’s) + 2 days of travel. It was a doozy, but we were so blessed by our time with family and everything in between.
We enjoyed the warm sunny weather at my mom’s by fitting in a little outdoor workout, some fishing, and just running around the property. It was weird not having George with us, but he was in excellent hands back in Portland. We headed into Houston for a quick mini-session with some college friends (who have allowed me to repeatedly photograph their beautiful growing family!) and enjoyed some play time on a nearby park. Afterwards we ate at my favorite Mexican food restaurant with my mom and Gammy. It was a very full good day. I’m still dreaming about the food.
