A few weeks back I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful family in Lake Osweog, OR. Their son goes to pre-school just a couple blocks from my studio and he was such a good little fella. He was sweet and well behaved and of course, once he saw the beach at the river’s edge, he was all boy mode. He wanted to skip rocks and chase ducks. Letting kids just BE kids without directing them is one of my favorite things to do during a standard portrait session. Giving them space to just BE and not perform is usually when the best moments are captured. Letting them explore nature almost always ensures beautiful moments & allows little personalities to emerge. We were blessed with beautiful soft light and the weather was just right. Brandie is a real estate agent so, we snapped a couple head shots while we were at it.
At their in-studio order session we designed this beautiful wall gallery that includes (2) 20×24 + (2) 16×20 frames with mounted & matted prints to showcase new family portraits!
Here’s some of my favorites from their family session in Lake Oswego.
