Waaaay back in July when my Dad and family were visiting from Texas, we took a day trip out to Cannon Beach. On the WINDIEST day. It was quite chilly and windy, but the sun was out so, it was pretty. Sitting here on this chilly, rainy, November day makes me crave a good sunny beach day. It was fun, but I feel bad that was their exposure to the beach. We also ventured down to Hug Point later that evening for my step mom to take some photos of Brian and me at sunset and THAT is our new favorite beach. We’ve only returned to Hug Point when we want a beach day since. It’s incredibly beautiful and way less crowded. There’s also caves and nooks you can sit in to block the wind if necessary. Anyway, Sam and Lisa had a blast digging a huge hole and Brady got to fly a kite for the first time. We had dinner at a cute and delicious local brewery before continuing on to Hug Point (stay tuned for those gorgeous images in a separate blog post – there’s just a couple at the bottom of this post).
I put together a little video of our beach adventures and below are some of my favorite images from the day….
