Our new favorite thing to do is pick berries (or peaches) at local farms and orchards! We do this approx once a week now. We’ve been to Smith Berry Barn a couple times and these photos are from our first visit with some friends at the beginning of July. We loaded up on delicious black berries, raspberries and blueberries. I LOVE living so close to all these u-pick farms around Portland. What a blessing and answer to prayer! Maybe one day we’ll have our own farm?! My additional freezer is filling up nicely with fresh berries for later in the year when it costs an arm and a leg to get a pint of berries. We also celebrated Megan’s birthday (thanks to Rachel for bringing all the goodies!) with a picnic lunch after we were all covered in dirt and berry juice and our children’s bellies were full of blueberries – hah!
