My Dad, step mom, her mom, and the twins – Sam and Lisa, came to visit us from Texas for about 10 days last July. Yes… LAST July. I’m playing catch up on personal blogging after many months.
My dad joined us about 5 days into the visit, and I had LOTS of “Oregon Summer” activities planned for us to do during their visit. They were so happy to escape the Texas heat and experience our love for Oregon Summers. First up was peach picking at TK Orchards about 20 minutes South of us in Canby, Oregon.
There’s nothing like hand picking your own peaches off the tree and taking a big juicy bite in the middle of the summer. Ah, so dreamy. They had several varieties. I should really keep track of the ones I like best. We picked a crate full and snacked on them throughout the week and made a iron skillet peach pie type dessert.
After we picked peaches, we picnicked and the kids ran around under the big filbert trees next to the peach orchard. It’s on my PHOTO SHOOT BUCKET LIST to do a portrait session under the big filbert trees!
You know it’s a good time when your kid has a dirt moustache by the time we leave. Here are some of my favorite images from our peach adventure!
